Formatted contents note La encuesta FESAL 2002/03 es la octava de una serie de encuestas que desde 1973 ha venido realizando la Asociación Demográfica Salvadoreña (ADS), con la participación activa de un Comité Consultivo Interinstitucional desde la FESAL-93. Entre Los objetivos que ha mantenido esta serie de encuestas FESAL se encuentra estudiar los niveles y tendencias de la fecundidad como de sus determinantes, incluida la prevalencia del uso de anticonceptivos, así como de una gama importante de temas sobre la salud materna e infantil. En esta oportunidad también se realizo por primera vez una encuesta con hombres, que abordan sus propios indicadores sobre la salud reproductiva y un modulo sobre violencia de pareja, comparable con el incorporado también por primera vez en la encuesta con mujeres.
